For billionaire entrepreneurs, work is no longer enough and they are now ready to take their pursuits to the outer space.
In the latest race to reach space first, there seems to be three billionaire contenders. Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson and Elon Musk.
The world is watching the three men prepare to take off for the final frontier for man.
How will it go?
Jeff Bezos & his Space Odyssey
With Bezos due to step down as Amazon CEO, the magnate has already announced a space flight for the 20th of July 2021.
It is likely that Bezos’ pursuit into space would be matched if not superseded by either Richard Branson of Virgin Galactic and or Elon Musk of Space X.
Richard Branson seems a flamboyant contender in his famous free spirited style – while Musk remains the broody, nerdy tech guy who gave the world a brilliant car in Tesla.
Jeff Bezos doesn’t have many frontiers to conquer on earth – he is already in the top ranks and can only rightly conquer space to drive the point home.
He started small just like the other two but has now gone on to emerge the richest man in the world.
But when it comes to conquering space it might seems that Branson and Musk have an advantage over Bezos, due to the fact that they have already started their space programs well in advance.
Richard Branson’s space journey
Richard Branson who built his Virgin conglomerate is known as a savvy businessman who dropped out of school to start on his own.
Having opened his own record store, he went on to build Virgin Atlantic Airline and many other ventures including his space program Virgin Galactic.
Virgin Galactic has been valued at nearly 11 Billion Dollars.
All three men have built strong businesses that have gone on to make an impact globally.
Elon Musk & Innovation
Elon Musk himself has been known as eccentric entrepreneur who has built the world’s most popular self-driving car Tesla.
He also started and sold several companies such as Pay Pal while he is known for his tech genius and open approach to innovation.
Musk became a multi-millionaire in his 20s after selling his start-up company.
It is said that 8 business industries have been disrupted by Elon Musk and his innovative businesses.
With an eye on space, he started his space exploration technology corporation, SpaceX in 2002.
Since then, SpaceX has been contracted to handle cargo transport for the International Space Station as well. This maybe an advantage for Musk in speeding up the race for space.
Space X is said to have the capability to transport astronauts in a move to replace NASA’s own space shuttle mission.
Who will get to space first?
The space companies of all three entrepreneurs namely, Blue Origin of Jeff Bezos, Virgin Galactic of Richard Branson and Space X of Elon Musk are lined up against the other, each eager to get out there first to explore the galaxy.
We can see how it goes along as we await their entry into space.
In the end, it will not be the first entrepreneur to head into space but the first to make a productive visit that will facilitate greater benefit for mankind.
We shall see soon enough.
